As part of the career counseling activities of the Computer Technologies Department, Computer Programming Program, Spring Semester 2024-2025, a seminar titled 'Tips for an Effective Resume for Software Developers' was held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 2:30 PM by our department lecturer and students’ career advisor, Lect. Ecmel Albayrak. The event, which attracted particular interest from second-year students, took place in the BL5 Computer Laboratory.
During the seminar, the essential sections that should be included in the resumes of software developer candidates were explained, with attention points for each section illustrated through examples for both junior and senior positions.
Additionally, detailed information was provided on how Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), commonly used in recruitment processes, scan resumes and what elements they focus on. Comprehensive tips were also shared on how technical skills and projects can be presented more effectively in resumes. The event concluded after a Q&A session.
